The Stanford Terrace Inn is conveniently located close to Stanford University on lines C and V of the
Marguerite shuttle route, a free shuttle operated by Stanford University. Other hotels are also reachable via the Marguerite. To get to the Gunn (SIEPR) building with the "C" or "V" Marguerite Shuttle lines, get off at the Memorial Auditorium/Hoover Tower stop and walk down Galvez St. to the Gunn (SIEPR) building. |

Transportation from & to Airport:

South Bay Shuttle -- Phone 408-866-6660. Cost is $25.00 each way for a shared door to door ride.
MVP Taxi -- Phone 650-219-0211. Cost is $65 each way.
Yellow Cab -- Phone 650-947-1234, please call for charges.
We recommend reserving a ride.
Note: Taxis waiting at SFO, will charge double the meter for a ride to Palo Alto, resulting in about $80-$90.
By Train:
From SFO take the BART (5 minute ride, $4.00 fee) to the Millbrae Avenue CalTrain Station. From the Millbrae Ave station, take the CalTrain southbound to the Palo Alto Caltrain Station or California Avenue CalTrain Station (about a 40 minute ride, $4.50 fee). From the Palo Alto Caltrain Station, the Marguerite "Y" line shuttle can take you to the Gunn (SIEPR) Building. From the California Caltrain Station, the Marguerite "V" line can take you to the Gunn (SIEPR) Building. The "V" line also stops at other hotels, including the Stanford Terrace Inn.
From SJC, take the Airport Flyer (free) to the Santa Clara train station, take the CalTrain north to the California Avenue Train Station or the Palo Alto Caltrain Station (about a 30 minute ride, $4.50 fee), and continue with the Marguerite as specified above.

Transportation to Stanford:
We recommend taking the Marguerite to Stanford University if possible, as parking is expensive and somewhat incovenient due to construction.

| If you choose to drive, here are directions to the Gunn (SIEPR) Building and Parking |
From Bayshore US Highway 101 North or South

Exit on Embarcadero Road West (towards Stanford).

Proceed for several miles on Embarcadero Road.

Embarcadero Road becomes Galvez Street after you pass El Camino Real and enter the Stanford campus.

Stay in the left lane and continue towards the center of campus.

There are a number of visitor parking areas along Galvez Street, the largest of which is located near the Stanford Stadium (E11 on map), between Nelson Road and Campus Drive East. You can then walk to the Gunn (SIEPR) Building.
From 280 North or South

Exit Sand Hill Rd. East.

Follow this road for several miles.

Take a right onto Santa Cruz Avenue. This is at a major intersection with a stop light. Turn into the far-left lane as you will need to make an immediate left.

Make an immediate left onto Junipero Serra Blvd.

Turn left at the 2nd traffic light onto Campus Drive East.

Turn left onto Serra Street (a gas station is located here).

Follow Serra Street until it ends.

Turn right onto Galvez Street.
