Title: SimTk and Folding@Home:  New directions for physical simulation of biomolecules

Abstract:
I'll discuss the recent efforts connecting the working going on in Folding@Home and SimTk.  Specifically, I will include an update on our projects on new methods for long timescale dynamics using normal modes (relevant especially for the Myosin and RNA DBP's) and new methods for more accurate electrostatics in RNA.  Finally, I will introduce a new potential area of interest for SimTk: the physical simulation of viral entry into cells, with an emphasis on the effect of influenza hemagglutinin (HA) peptides (in human and avian variants) on the viral fusion process.
