Rachel Weinstein I currently work for Industrial Light and Magic in San Francisco, California. I am focused on rigid dynamics and have received credit for my work in the movie "Transformers." (2007)
I received my Ph.D. from Stanford University in June 2007. I had been a student in Professor Fedkiw's research lab working in conjunction with Scott Delp's lab. My area of research was human motion with an emphasis on dynamic simulation using a physics based model. My goal was to combine articulated rigid bodies modeling human bones with muscles and use the forces of the muscles to drive the motion of the underlying skeleton.
