Title: An Informatics Approach to Modeling RNA Structure

Abstract:

Understanding the function of complex RNA molecules depends critically on understanding their structure. However, creating three-dimensional (3D) structure models of RNA remains a significant challenge. We have developed a protocol (the Nucleic Acid Simulation Tool, NAST) for RNA modeling that uses knowledge from the database of solved RNA structures to generate plausible 3D structures. I will also discuss our recent work in bridging low and high resolution RNA structure models.
