Title: Understanding membrane fusion via molecular dynamics simulation

Abstract:
A detailed description of the syllabus, pre-requisites, course-objectives, software tools, and philosophy for BioE215, a new course in Physics-based Simulation of Biological Structures, will be presented. Topics to be discussed include computational and scientific tools for modeling geometry, forces, mass and inertia, joints and constraints, initial values, as well as simulation, analysis, and post-processing.
