Title: Medical Image Analysis: Algorithm Development & Validation, Model Building and Integration
Abstract: High throughput biological assays are helping to make computational biology one of the key areas of modern science. One can look at medical images as high throughput spatial sampling assays; however, images are very challenging data to deal with since the relevant parameters are often extremely difficult to abstract out of the images. In this talk, I will discuss my prior and current work in computer aided diagnosis (CAD) algorithms and anatomic modeling. I will then briefly describe my new research directions and the potential relationship to the overall goals of Simbios. |
