Susan Tang I am currently working in the Bioinformatics group at Applied Biosystems. I work on the secondary analysis component of SOLiD (Sequencing by Oligonucleotide Ligation and Detection), a technology that enables massive parallel sequencing of clonally amplified DNA fragments.
I graduated with a Master's Degree from the BioEngineering Department at Stanford University, where I focused on Biomedical Computation.
I joined Simbios in September 2005, working on the Myosin DBP. I wanted to learn more about the myosin energy transduction pathway by using conservation measures (MSA) and existing myosin structural data. In particular, I wanted to see what roles the critical motifs of Myosin (Switch I, Switch II, and P loop) play in the energy transduction pathway.
