As Executive Director, my primary role is to help build the Simbios community and manage and coordinate all technical developments and administrative activity. I am also the point person for development efforts, collaborations, coordinating faculty & student research, managing software production schedule, and interacting with the NIH staff and other National Centers funded through the same program. Before joining Simbios I spent seven years at Incyte Corporation, serving most recently as Vice President of Bioinformatics R&D, leading bioinformatics research operations as well as product development. I spent a year at Stanford University in 1997, (Department of Biochemistry and the Section for Medical Informatics), while on sabbatical from Polytechinic University, New York, where I was an Associate Professor of Computer Science.
