I currently work at ExploraMed, a medical technology incubation company.

I was a PhD student in Professor Taylor's Cardiovascular Biomechanics Research Laboratory investigating the 3D nano-architecture of healthy and diseased blood vessels. We used serial block face scanning electron microscopy to generate 3D volumes of rat abdominal aortae highlighting the relationship between smooth muscle cells, elastin, and collagen.  This information will be used to create 3D computational models to aid in understanding functional and material properties.
