I joined the Simbios groub in June of 2009 as a software engineer to
maintain and upgrade the Simtk.org web site. I've always been a computer
scientist, putting my design and programming skills to work for other
institutions such as Carleton College, M.I.T., and most recently Yale
(where I was a combination software engineer, systems admin, and
internal tech support). While I've typically enjoyed the "harder" topics
of computer engineering such as system design and digital electronics,
more recently I've become interested in the "fuzzier" topics of
human-computer interaction and user experience design, which are both
necessities for designing elegant and usable web sites!
