I came to Simbios in August 2007 after spending seven years writing commercial bioinformatics software at Agilent Technologies and Silicon Genetics.  This was a return to my roots: I earned my Ph.D. at Stanford, developing algorithms for molecular dynamics simulations of proteins.  I am now working on the SimTK core, which gives me a chance to indulge my passion for designing elegant APIs and creating tools that help people to solve problems.  I also am interested in computer graphics, user interface design, and optimization of all sorts.
